Today the boys and girls were encouraged to ‘turn the tide with plastics!’ We learnt how plastic bottles are being thrown away, often in the oceans, where they lie for years, doing significant damage to the environment especially the animals. Ballytrea pupils were each given a refillable water bottle which they can use daily instead of paying for water bottles from shops. Our School Council were tasked with disseminating the information to our younger pupils.
