This week Buddy 🧸 is off to stay with Shannon (P7)!
You may actually recognise Shannon….that is if you watch the daily evening UTV Northern Ireland news!
Shannon was one of our star P7 pupils 🤩, who spoke so well on camera, when we got the opportunity to meet Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall earlier this week.
Now, you may say that it wasn’t really that big a deal. Sure some people love speaking on camera! (Just look at Mr Black and all those videos he posted during lockdown! 🙈😂)
However, you must look at where a child has come from, to where they are now!
She won’t mind me saying, but if you had asked if Shannon would have had the confidence to speak off the cuff on camera 18 months ago, the answer would have a definitely been no! It just wouldn’t have been something she would have felt comfortable doing.
Yet, over the last weeks and months Shannon has grown and grown in confidence, really challenged herself to take risks, and is now the smiley, confident young girl you saw on camera!
We are so proud of you Shannon. Taking risks to step outside of your comfort zone, to do things you normally wouldn’t be comfortable with, is really paying off, and you are such an example to your classmates and school friends!
I just know that we have many boys and girls in school who will look up to you, see you on camera, and take risks to step outside of their comfort zones as well! They won’t regret it! 😊
