We were delighted to welcome Professor Alan Woodside OBE into school today.
Professor Woodside, who is a trustee of the Logos school in Cyprus, gifted our school the ‘Barnabas Award’; an award that will be presented to a pupil during our June Prize Giving ceremony.
The award will be given to a child who has been encouraging to others, and who has shown a wonderful ability to think of others before self.
Professor Woodside talked to the children about St Barnabas, the patron saint of Cyprus, who was known for being a very kind and compassionate man.
We look forward to having Professor Woodside back again later in the year to present this special award!
